Why Us?

Because Eldest Daughters take care of everything...so we created a space that takes care of THEM.

Take a load off my friend. You're home.

Hi, it's me, Rae ðŸ™‚

Founder of Self Care Capsule and classic eldest daughter. Self Care Capsule was created to fill the void for the brand I couldn’t find. One that guides eldest daughters out of survival mode (as the CEO of everything),  through their healing journey, and finally into their main character era! By stacking community with our #WriteToRelease journaling method, we turn healing into a fun and supportive journey.

Self Care Capsule covers topics under the 5 core pillars of self compassion:

  1. Healthy detachment
  2. Common humanity
  3. Mindful observing
  4. Belonging / connection
  5. Self-directed kindness

Using our unique “(w)rite to release”© approach, our Digital Capsule Library of journals and  courses (available here!) combine these 5 pillars to help you break free of the patterns of overwork, self-judgement, and cycles of regret that keep us from living a life aligned with our values. Our signature “(w)rite to release”© approach, covers 3 fundamental “(w)rites”:

1. the right to affordable high quality healing – Our journals & courses are built for exceptional user experience and the self-directed healing prompts you to find the answers within you – making the experience more personal, safe and less expensive than using a bound journal or attending therapy.

2. the rite of personal development – everyone at some stage of their self-actualization journey strives to be a better version of themselves. We want to support all those who venture on this journey of self-exploration with tools that make the process enjoyable and easy to incorporate into even the busiest of schedules.

3. and write to release the feels – the good ones and not so good ones..because if left unattended, the bad ones join together and form our limiting beliefs and the good ones are left aside as un-lived dreams.

Our guided journals and articles are there to:

1. empower you to be your own coach – because nobody knows you like you know yourself. Journaling and self-directed learning does not demand that you bare your soul to another human being while worrying about their silent judgement, nor does it create a dependency on anyone else to support you in your healing.

2. encourage you to imagine the possibilities – the quality of our life is determined by the quality of the questions we ask ourselves. The difficulty is in knowing what the right questions are! Our guided journals take care of the hard part and bring these key questions to you.

3. accompany you as you bring your dreams to life – our journals and courses are designed to give you a safe space to release all the feels and make accountability easy. Because let’s face it, this is where most of us fall off our healing goals. Our pages and activities are set up to help you adopt the simple habit of consistency which is the core skill that helps you achieve the life & healing you want.

Annnddd the best part is when you work with us, through our “Free People, free people” movement, a portion of all our profits go to supporting people in war-torn countries! #freepeoplefeelgood . (Read more about it in our Startup Story.)
